What is Cafe Baggio?
As the name suggests, Cafe Baggio is a Cafe/Bar/Retail space that grounds itself in the world of Football.
Speciality coffee and lunch bites by day, cocktails, beers and wines by night. All alongside live sports and Liverpool’s only permanent space selling vintage football shirts.
Why is Cafe Baggio?
After 25 years in the hospitality industry and even longer loving footy, we think the 2 have some very special things in common.
Football and hospitality venues, at their very best, are more about community and a sense of belonging than they are what’s on the pitch or what’s in the glass. We want to build a space where those 2 things are at their best and celebrated.
Why Baggio?
If you’re of a certain age, he was the one that made you realise football was global.
That 1994 World Cup was the first I remember watching and although he’s best remembered for that missed pen and the hands on the hips, he also was electric the whole month. From there I started obsessively watching Football Italia on a Sunday morning on Channel 4 and that was that. Looking back I guess that was when I realised football was more than just me and some other 10 year olds kicking a ball about in the street.
